Car Game

Car Game is a unique action roguelike where you upgrade your car, its weapons, and its engine as they all work together, along with your driving skills, to keep you alive.

PRE-ALPHA DEMO

This is a 5 minute demo. Survive 5 minutes, defeat the boss, and you win. This is not representative of a full release, things WILL change and get better. Feedback is not only welcome, it is requested. 

CORE MECHANICS

In cargame, your vehicle's engine stats modify your gameplay. 

Horsepower = Damage.
The more your have the harder you hit.

Torque = Penetration and AOE.
More torque lets your shots punch through more enemies and makes your explosions bigger.

RPM = Rate of Fire.
Keep the engine screaming to unleash a torrent of bullets.

Vehicle speed = Projectile speed. The faster you are, the faster your bullets are.

Gear = Multishot chance.
Higher gears give you a greater change to shoot extra shots.

CONTROLS

Keyboard:

WASD or arrow keys to move

E to initiate a drift (tapping it works better than holding it)

0 on number pad to boost (this is important to use)

M to pause

TAB to change views.

L to level up when you have collected enough XP

Shifting In Manual
Shift->R to Reverse
Shift->1 for 1st Gear
Shift->2 for 2nd Gear
Shift->3 for 3rd Gear
Shift->4 for 4th Gear
Shift->5 for 5th Gear

USB Controller [Limited Support]:

Please note controller currently only supports automatic style of gameplay

Left Stick to move

Right Face Button [B on Xbox] to initiate drift (tapping works better than holding)

Top Face Button [Y on Xbox] to boost (this is important to use)

Right Special Button to pause

Left Bumper [LB] is mapped to both level up and switch cameras

Bugs

Is it stable? Sort of

If you drive off the edge of the map will that cause problems? Yes.

Are their bugs? Yes.
